The Hofilena Ancestral House is the first house that was opened to the public as a museum in 1962.
Built in 1934, it houses the collection of the art paintings of Ramon Hofilena, the Lord of the House, by Juan Luna, Fernando Amorsolo and Jose Rizal.
Your tour of Silay City would not be complete if you will not visit this house. Ramon Hofilena receives guests by appointment only. He guides to guests to his house from the collection of religious icons, books and to his art collection at the second floor.
|The dining table is all set up for Christmas.|
Ramon Hofilena's four-poster bed. If you are lucky enough, he will show you his nude sketch done when he was a model.
A rare chance for Ramon Hofilena to pose for a photo.
But was able to convince him to pose with me.
